December 2009 Issue

Our cover photo, “Gates in Winter,” comes to us from Jeffrey Eaton a fundraiser and amateur photographer living in Washington, D.C. This is the fifth of his photographs to feature in Open Letters, where he is Editor-at-large. Jeanne-Claude Denat de Guillebo, co-creator of Central Park’s “The Gates,” passed away on November 18th, 2009.
